Christie is from anglo/spanish origins. She has lived and worked in France and Italy for many years and has fashioned a portfolio of greatly diverse sculptures, both in bronze and clay. Her work uses a variety of techniques and styles one quite different from the other.

She originally studied under the Dutch Sculptor, Luc Veger for several years, with whom he remained her Mentor and close friend until his death in 1999. She now works and gives classes at the Hangar in Chateauneuf, the Art school that Luc founded.

She has had great success with several of her now classic works especially bulls and bears. She has also sculpted realistic images of heads portraying the horrors of war as in Kosovo and Darfour, and is currently working on images of Iraq and Afganistan.

Her other recent work is stylized figurative images of couples worked in clay and plaster. These sculptures have movement and strength but also tenderness.
